Money Pacquiao

Who is Money Pacquiao? Why is Money Pacquiao making news today? Where did the name "Money Pacquiao" come from?

The public has been recently bombarded with news about Money Pacquiao. No, the news development was not about Money Pacquiao's upcoming title fight with Ricky Hatton. It was actually about Money Pacquiao, his contract issues and his future political plans. It was also another chapter in a war between two rival media networks, with Manny Money Pacquiao being caught in the crossfire.

My wife and I had a long discussion about this matter last week. I told her that the truth would come out and that Money Pacquiao will be the ultimate victim of circumstance, while other people take advantage of him with their own agenda. Or not... do you agree? Read the news and formulate your own opinion on the matter. Even though Money Pacquiao is the most famous person in the world, I don't think people should expect too much from him besides boxing.

By the way, where did the term "Money Pacquiao" come from? Apparently, when Money Pacquiao started winning major title bouts years ago, that was when celebrities, politicians and other influential people started betting on him and watching his fights live abroad. While most people were shouting "Manny! Manny!" when Pacquiao was winning, they were shouting "Money! Money!" because they were thinking of their winning bets.

Movie spoilers posted online on Themoviespoiler.com. Wanna know how your favorite movies end without actually watching them?

I used to (actually, I still do) chat with my friends about how the latest movies were cool and how their stories had their twists and turns. They didn't know I would just read the movie plot lines in the internet.

As soon as a movie gets showed on the theaters, the spoiler become available for viewing. You get to read the whole story. Or sometimes, they also display an even shorter version of the movie plot called "Cut to the chase."

People submit a version of the latest movie's summary (including the movie ending) in their own words. People get credit for the submitted work too.

Best Movie Mistakes

Just to give you a taste of what you can see in Moviemistakes.com, these are the top 5 movie mistakes according to their website.

After chasing down Sully, the yellow Porsche is totally wrecked on the left side, until Arnie drives it away, and it's fine.
2. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
In the scene where John & Catherine are in the hangar at the runway, the Cessna's tail number is N3035C. When the plane is shown in the air, the number is N3973F. When they land, the tail number has changed back to N3035C.
3. American Pie
In the bedroom scene the girl is holding a clear cup full of beer. The camera goes off her and when it comes back she is holding a blue cup. The camera goes back off her then on her and the cup is clear again.
4. Star Wars
When the stormtroopers break into the control room, the stormtrooper on the right of the screen hits his head on the door frame. On the DVD release they've added a thump when he hits it.
5. Spider-Man
In the scene where Mary Jane is being mugged by four men, Spider-Man throws two of the men into two windows behind Mary Jane. The shot switches to Spider-Man beating up the other two guys. When it cuts back to Mary Jane the two windows are intact.

TipsBase, A Place To Share Tips And Tricks About Anything

TipsBase is a new social network centered around sharing tips and tricks about a wide variety of topics, counting on user-generated content to populate the community site with interesting tidbits on why and how to do (or not do) certain things. The team behind the website likened it to a ‘YouTube for tips’, but that’s quite the overstatement.

TipsBase says it’s different from the crowded space of How To websites and other social networks where tips are shared via message boards and the likes, by providing a centralized platform where registered users can share short, practical advice about any topic ranging from business, computers and video games to fashion, pets, gambling and health. There’s also a social layer on top of it, where you can do classical social networking stuff like befriend people, subscribe to their tips, comment on articles, send direct messages, rate content, etc. This is similar to what Tipstrs is all about.

The team is convinced that users will benefit from the fact that TipsBase covers so many categories, but I tend to think niche communities or websites dedicated to tips and tricks about a limited set of topics work better. There are better resources for finding tips and tricks about video games, for instance, and I’m not even going to consider looking for tips on health or personal finance on a general website like TipsBase.

They’re also going to have a hell of a time moderating incoming tips (see second screenshot for example). Having your community flag spam and adult material is one thing, but I think the quality of the tips is what would make users come back for more, and there’s no way to assure that when all it takes for people to start sharing tips is providing their e-mail address and picking a password.

I remember in the movie Lost in Translation, Bill Murray's character went to Tokyo to film a Suntory whiskey advertisement. "For relaxing times, make it Suntory time." This plot was actually based on real life Hollywood actors who do commercials abroad.

Wanna see Hollywood A-listers doing something different? You might wanna check out Japander.com. Japander.com is about the Japanese TV commercials done by famous Hollywood celebrities. There's George Clooney following his dreams for Toyota. You have Maddonna endorsing Shochu drinks. And my favorite? The Suzuki spot with the Michael Jackson of old - gotta see it to believe it!
No, these famous people are not exactly proud of what they have done here. They don't talk about these things the way they do about their work in the movies or TV. But with the dawn of the internet, it has become really easy to access these videos from the other side of the world. The internet is definitely for sites like Japander.com
